The wait is over! Agatha All Along has finally premiered on Disney+, treating fans to not one, but two captivating episodes. The anticipation for this Marvel series has been palpable, fueled by some brilliant marketing and promotion that delighted fans worldwide. Now, the question on everyone’s mind: does the series live up to the hype?

For starters, we have to applaud Kathryn Hahn, because we truly believe that everything she touches turns to gold, and her performance in Agatha All Along has lived up to all the expectations that were set. Take the leap into the world of Agatha All Along if you’re a fan of the MCU‘s darker corners!

Well, it’s certainly good being back in Westview, but of course, this isn’t the Westview we knew from back when Wanda Maximoff lived here and Agatha Harkness was the darkest witch alive.

Nevertheless, it is Westview, Kathryn Hahn is around as Agnes, and Marvel television is back in business!

Agatha All Along was off to a slightly slow start, unlike what we had expected. There isn’t magic and horror from the get-go, but it makes sense for the series, especially the pilot episode to help provide some context.

Minute after minute, we are also introduced to the other characters of the series, played by some of the most talented actors and actresses in television and beyond, and it all starts to come together.

If you were deeply invested in WandaVision when it was first released, chances are Agatha All Along Episode 1 will have moments where you might feel goosebumps on your skin, and rightfully so. The lightbulb moment when Agatha realizes who she really is deserves a separate fanbase altogether, and it is all because of Hahn’s brilliance.

Joe Locke’s character, a teenager who can’t stop obsessing over Agatha, is one of our personal favorites in the series so far. Any time the two are together on screen, it is fun, and funny, and helps show a different side to Agatha too. Ideally, Episode 2 should have been a little more fast-paced, but that wasn’t the case, and by the looks of it, this series is heavily relying on the star-studded cast to make it a hit.

Something about Agatha All Along just felt incomplete, but maybe it is a little too soon to judge the series since only two episodes have premiered. At the same time, we can’t help but compare it to the first two episodes of WandaVision which had our minds blown from the very first moment, and that spark is currently missing despite Hahn’s commendable work.

Locke, Aubrey Plaza, and Debra Jo Rupp are some of our favorites in the premiere of Agatha All Along, apart from Hahn, whom we can’t stop swooning over. Although the series hasn’t picked up its pace just yet, we’re keeping an open mind for the witchy road that lies ahead, as we hope for more magic and the missing spark.

Conclusion

We’re currently on the fence when it comes to Marvel television’s latest series, but we’re certain things will be better from Episode 3, and we’ll be right here to share our review of it, so make sure you come back next week!
