Apple TV+ has dropped Where’s Wanda? Episode 5 and this particular installment is the perfect mid-point of the series and help move the narrative forward in the direction audiences have wanted it to. So, keep reading our review of Episode 5 but beware of any spoilers!
Is Wanda Stuck in a Basement?
Where’s Wanda? Episode 5 begins with Day 0, aka the day Wanda went missing, as the series gives a more detailed look into the events that escalated parallel to Wanda’s disappearance or the ones that were responsible for her going missing.
So far, we’ve only caught glimpses of the day she disappeared, but Episode 5 finally gives us a little more!

Now, it is only clear that those who possibly killed the investigative influencer, Lenka, have also hurt Wanda after she couldn’t escape them, despite her attempt to do so. Following this flashback, we are back to day 97, where the detectives are investigating a van crash, the credit for which goes to Dedo and Ole.
Meanwhile, Carlotta is back in therapy, this time actually talking about her feelings and not spying on her therapist. However, because of the surveillance cameras already installed, Dedo overhears the entire conversation, with a focus on the part where Carlotta wishes Dedo would take responsibility instead of just goofing around. This certainly hits a nerve!

There’s a shocking moment in Where’s Wanda? Episode 5 is when Ole crosses paths with Chris, one of the boys who kidnapped Wanda, and turns out, he was only three years above Wanda at school. Chris happens to be a good guy stuck in a bad situation with the actual bad guy, Lukas.
Towards the end of the episode, one can guess that after Chris bought Wanda back to his grandma’s house, he decided to keep her in the basement until he could figure out his next steps. However, on his night out with Ole, he realizes that back home the lights went out, and his grandmother decided to call Lukas…

Conclusion
Where’s Wanda? Episode 5 has answered more questions than any other episode so far, but of course, it comes with its own twists and turns. This episode was a nail-biter, and we’re looking forward to what’s next in store for these characters!
