If we had to pick the most underrated series on Apple TV+ right now, it would be the latest German series, Where’s Wanda? With four episodes currently available on the streaming platform, the show has its flaws, steering it away from perfection, but remains intriguing and entertaining, which brings us to Episode 4.

In Episode 4 of Where’s Wanda?, the Klatts’ desperation grows as they continue searching for their daughter, trying every possible avenue, including spying on several townspeople. In this review, we will explore some highlights of the episode, but beware of any spoilers.

Do the Klatts Get Closer to Finding Wanda?

The start of Where’s Wanda? Episode 4 takes us straight into a German sitcom featuring the Vinsons, who are also the family featured in the title of this episode. Along with the Vinsons, Carlotta is also part of this sitcom, and after a couple of minutes, we find out that Carlotta has been daydreaming, and appears to be more stressed than ever in regard to finding her daughter.

It has now been 96 days since Wanda’s disappearance, and even though Carlotta is convinced the detectives aren’t doing much to try and find Wanda, there’s effort, and hopefully, it will lead them to some answers. Meanwhile, Ole and Dedo decide to involve more technology in their search for Wanda, hoping this will speed up the process.

Dedo and Ole get a chance to bond, for the first time in this series, which adds a layer of emotions to Where’s Wanda? and on the other end, Carlotta befriends a fellow student from Wanda’s school, Lucie, who was also part of the sitcom Carlotta was daydreaming about.

Through the surveillance cameras, Carlotta finds out that Lucie has a pregnancy scare, and because her mother doesn’t care enough, Carlotta decides to swoop in.

Lucie reveals that she saw Wanda riding through the woods the day she disappeared, as well as some theories about her disappearance. Whilst Carlotta is grateful for the information, she is also keen on helping Lucie, who thankfully, isn’t pregnant.

As Ole and Dede take matters into their own hands, without Carlotta, it leads them to crash the van, and their use of surveillance cameras almost gets caught.

The ending of Where’s Wanda? Episode 4 brings us a little closer to Wanda as we realize that she might have been at the wrong place at the wrong time, which also connects to the influencer mentioned in the series, and shown in Episode 4. As for Carlotta, she is keen on investigating the creepy house mentioned by Lucie.

Conclusion

The only flaw Where’s Wanda? appears to have so far, is that the narrative is moving forward at a slightly slower place than one would have expected it to. Nevertheless, we continue to remain intrigued about what this series has in store.
