Time Bandits, created by Taika Waititi, Jemaine Clement, and Iain Morris takes the viewers, and Kevin, on an unpredictable journey like never before. With a talented cast and fascinating plot from the pilot episode, this series on Apple TV+ has now concluded, and it is a bittersweet feeling.
Ten episodes of Time Bandits weren’t nearly enough for us, but this fantasy-adventure series often exceeded our expectations as it dove straight into a time portal and took us to different eras, and we have loved all of it. This brings us to the last two episodes, aka 9 and 10, and our review of it, so make sure you stick around!
Who Finally Gets the Map?
It is finally time for Kevin and Saffron to save their parents, who were previously turned into coal by a demon named Fianna. It was that tragedy that led to Kevin’s adventure with the bandits, and over the course of the previous two episodes, Saffron also joined the gang!
In Episode 9, Kevin decides it’s best to bring the bandits back to Troy, so he can meet his friend, Cassandra, who can also tell the future.

Kevin and the bandits find themselves in the middle of a battle in Troy, and before they know it, they are thrown into jail, where they also find Cassandra, and ask her to help them find the missing piece of the map.
While all this might sound serious, and to some extent, it is, there’s still plenty of comedy hidden in the dialogue, and we already know it will be a splendid penultimate episode.
The bandits, Kevin, and Saffron now have to make their way to the last place they saw on the map, and that’s where they run into Poseidon, played by Taika Waititi, but it actually is the Supreme Being, asking for the map, and he eventually takes Kevin with him.

The Supreme Being suggests that Kevin should become his spy, get him the map, and in exchange, he will get his parents back. In fact, Kevin could get a whole new set of parents if he wanted, ones that would support his interests. Supreme Being presents Kevin with a tempting offer before he makes his way back to the bandits.
Time Bandits Episode 9 goes on another adventure, much like the previous episodes, but it also begins to tie the loose ends of subplots that were introduced earlier in the series, including Susan and Gavin, who are living happily together. It is now time for the final episode of the season!

With the final piece of the map, the gang found themselves at the entrance of the Fortress of Darkness, and it was time for Kevin and Saffron to get their parents back, but obviously, it wasn’t easy. In this episode, we witness the Supreme Being, Pure Evil, Kevin, and Saffron all in the same place, and Kevin has the map.
Pure Evil tries his best to manipulate Kevin, time and again, but Kevin is far from naive. In fact, it is eventually Kevin’s wit that keeps the map away from both Pure Evil and Supreme Being, but despite that, it isn’t with the bandits anymore, but instead was stolen by Detective Katherine and the spice makers, who have only appeared a handful of times. Looks like fans will have to wait for another season to find out more!
Conclusion
We have to admit, this wasn’t the ending we had in mind for Time Bandits, but it was entertaining and leaves plenty of room for another season. Keep checking our website for any new updates and let us know in the comments what you thought about this series!
