Acclaimed director Scott Derrickson is collaborating with writer Zach Dean on Apple TV+‘s upcoming original movie, The Gorge. Derrickson’s diverse filmography includes The Black Phone, Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us from Evil, and Doctor Strange, demonstrating his expertise in the horror and sci-fi genres.

The Gorge, an action-survival movie, marks a new addition to Derrickson’s diverse portfolio, as he collaborates with an all-star cast. In this article, we’ll delve deeper into the details of his upcoming project, so be sure to read until the end!

What is the Plot of The Gorge?

The Gorge follows Drasa and Levi, two elite snipers who have been tasked with a unique job during a rough point of their careers. The job expects them to spend time in watch towers while they project the gorge beneath them.

Drasa and Levi aren’t allowed to make any contact with each other, and neither do they know what’s beneath them, but they have to make sure whatever it is, doesn’t leave the gorge. It doesn’t take long for Drasa and Levi to make contact and get to know one another, but ultimately, this isn’t a love story, and you can catch a glimpse of the same in the official trailer!

The Cast of The Gorge

Taking the lead in Apple TV+’s upcoming movie, are none other than Anya Taylor-Joy (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, The Queen’s Gambit) and Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick, Whiplash), who play the roles of Drasa and Levi, two characters assigned to protect the deadly gorge beneath them.
