A Temporary Goodbye to Ambulance
Marcus and Ramon find themselves in a nightclub to help a woman out, and this time, Marigaby isn’t with them. Along with Marigaby’s absence, we also realize that Marcus’ head is elsewhere as he administers a shot without asking the woman about her allergies which sends her into a respiratory arrest, putting her life in danger.
Marcus and Ramon have a heart-to-heart in the opening sequence, portraying that this job without Marigaby isn’t the same.

Meanwhile, Marigaby has taken a break from everything and attempted to disconnect, in hopes that she will attain the peace she needs, but instead, all she can think about is Marcus, Ramon, and the ambulance. Once again, Midnight Family has done a brilliant job of making Marigaby a relatable character to the audience. This has remained consistent since the pilot episode.
As if Marigaby leaving the ambulance wasn’t stressful enough for Ramon, Marcus is next to announce that he will also be leaving, whilst revealing the truth about his girlfriend’s pregnancy.
Ramon, Marcus, Cris, and Lety meet to discuss the situation as Marcus makes it evident that he also wants to leave Mexico. None of this sits well with Ramon who ends up storming out of the house.

While the Tamayo family struggles with looking at their future, Marigaby continues spending time with her grandmother, until there is an emergency in the small town, and they need a doctor. Marigaby is quick to step up and help out, performing surgery on a man with the help of another doctor. Back in the city, Bernardo joins Marcus and Ramon in the ambulance.
Everyone is back together when Marigaby makes her way back to the city and admits that as much as she wants to be a paramedic, she has to finish school first. So, the family decides to put a temporary pause to the ambulance business as they focus on their own lives.

Conclusion
Midnight Family Episode 8 focused on different character arcs and everyone’s journey to figuring out where their life is headed. It will be interesting to witness if they find their way back to the ambulance this season!
