Midnight Family on Apple TV+ continues to tug on everyone’s heartstrings as the emotional rollercoaster gets more intense with every scene and every episode, which brings us to the latest installment, Episode 5. In the previous episode of the series, we witnessed Ramon’s surgery which was a success until he went into cardiac arrest.

Ramon might have been one of the more irresponsible characters of Midnight Family, but he also brings in comedy and life, which is why we were on the edge of our seats in Episode 4. Well, if you’re looking for answers, you have come to the right place. Stick around and read our review of Midnight Family Episode 5.

Ramon Finally Takes His Health Seriously!

The opening scene of Midnight Family Episode 5, for a brief moment, had us convinced that Ramon had passed away, but deep down we knew the series wouldn’t kill a core character in the first half. We were thrilled to Ramon, albeit in a wheelchair, but alive and doing better than he was in the previous few episodes, which means ultimately, his surgery was a success.

As Ramon gives a speech after losing his friend, he also announces his return to work, and apart from Julito, the rest of his family clearly isn’t on board with this decision, knowing Ramon needs to take it easy for a while. But by the looks of it, Ramon is ready to take his health seriously…and we’re ready to find out how long that will last!

Here’s the thing that keeps us hooked to Midnight Family episode after episode – the characters. They’re all so different from each other, with their own struggles and ways to cope, it truly is interesting watching them work through life, often together.

Speaking of struggles, the gang is back together in the ambulance and finds themselves amid an unusual fight.

There’s trouble in paradise for all characters of Midnight Family, which should come as no shocker, but this is the first time we witness Marigaby have relationship trouble with Raul, who helped arrange the surgery for Ramon. Their relationship is mostly physical, and Marigaby wants more, but Raul in response only has excuses, which leads to a tiff between the two.

Marigaby then finds herself spending more time with Bernardo, who tells her he always wanted to be a vet and opens up more about his life and struggles. After spending time together, the two also end up sharing a kiss in Bernardo’s car before Marigaby has to leave. Midnight Family Episode 5 takes a dark turn toward the end with gunshots, a SWAT team, and Marigaby and Ramon trying to save a life.
