Lady in the Lake Episode 6 is now officially streaming on Apple TV+ and after some shocking twists in the previous episode, waiting a week felt almost a little long, but it’s finally here. This latest episode is titled, “I know who killed Cleo Johnson,” and Maddie is out to seek answers while new revelations are made.
So far, Lady in the Lake isn’t our favorite Apple TV+ series, as we do rank Black Matter and Presumed Innocent as the best shows on the platform in 2024, but there’s still hope for this drama mini-series starring Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram.

Is Cleo John Alive?
Lady in the Lake Episode 6 begins with yet another flashback that involves a Durst man, and at this point, it should be no surprise because a handful of episodes have opened with a flashback.
While these do help us understand Maddie’s character a little better, they don’t add much to the ongoing narrative.

Once it is revealed that Allan was aware of Maddie’s affair with his father, back in the present time, we see Maddie in the hospital following the physical altercation at the end of the previous episode.
Now, Seth is sitting beside her, talking to his unconscious mother, who is also visited by Allan. Just a few seconds after that, it is revealed that everything that happened in this scene is a figment of Maddie’s imagination, contorted by a part of her mind.
In this dream sequence of sorts, Maddie also gives birth to an ugly-looking baby, after which she is standing in a pool of water, making her way outside the hospital room.
After a series of odd events that eventually lead to Cleo, we cut to the present time, for real this time, and Seth is once again sitting by his mother as she is unconscious in the hospital.

Meanwhile, Slappy gets arrested for the alleged murder of his wife, Cleo Johnson, and this time around, Slappy is framed by Reggie, who is also confronted by Cleo’s son in this episode.
As the title of the episode suggests, this episode primarily revolves around Cleo, and more importantly, her murder. Maddie’s boss, Bob Bauer also pays her a visit at the hospital to update her on the murder of Tessie Durst which was committed by Stephan Zawadzkie’s mother, who killed herself in the previous episode.
However, Maddie’s focus, even in the state where she could barely speak or sit, remained on Cleo, and who killed her. We have to admit, Lady in the Lake Episode 6 is one of the weirder episodes of the series, and all credit goes to Maddie’s visions or the figments of her imagination while she is resting in the hospital.

Conclusion
The end of the episode is the most important part, where it is revealed that Cleo might just be alive, and has paid a visit to Maddie in the hospital. Maddie was convinced she was dreaming, however, it seemed more than real. But, we will learn more about that in the next episode!
