Previously, episode 6 of La Maison stood out as one of the series’ best installments yet, raising the stakes as Apple TV+’s captivating French drama approaches its conclusion.

A pivotal moment unfolded as Paloma Castel and Vincent Ledu shared a long-awaited heart-to-heart, with Vincent finally setting aside his ego to confront his emotions. It’s exactly what Paloma had been waiting for.

As La Maison approaches its season finale, several subplots remain to be tied up, and episode 7 – now streaming – addresses some of these lingering threads. In this article, we dive into the key moments of the latest installment. Read on for our review, but be warned: Spoilers ahead.

A Not-So-Happy New Year’s!

La Maison Episode 7 begins with a private conversation between Robinson and Solal, the first since the big secret was out in the previous episode – Solal was secretly working for the Rovels.

Both the men have a breakdown as they briefly talk about how much Solal was paid, and that he will testify against the Rovels. It doesn’t take long before Solal has to leave, but is there any future left for this couple?

Back at work, Perle is gearing up for a legal battle between Ledu and Rovel, but Paloma hasn’t returned to Paris, unlike the others. Instead, Paloma decided to stay back on the island after Christmas, to spend more time with Vincent. Perle has given Paloma a much-needed warning as the latter might have forgotten about her responsibilities back at the studio.

Speaking of Vincent and Paloma, they indeed are spending more time together, talking about fashion and family, the two driving forces in La Maison, and it is interesting to see the development these characters have undergone in the last 7 episodes.

This particular episode focuses on one, the legal battle, and two, Paloma spending more time with Vincent, and we have to admit, the former has captured our interest a little more.

Despite his promise, Solal doesn’t show up to testify against the Rovels. Victor Ledu only makes matters worse for his nephew, showing his commitment and allegiance to the Rovels, which plays an important role in La Maison.

Back on the Island, Paloma has also invited her best friend, Ye-Ji to spend time with her and Vincent, and Ye-Ji is far from impressed and decides to leave without informing Paloma.

Victor’s story arc in La Maison, particularly episode 7 is one to keep an eye out for as well, as he maneuvers carefully between his own family, and the one he is married into and profits from the most.

The focus however remains on Paloma leaving everything behind to spend her New Year’s with Vincent, whilst all other characters are dealing with their own mess.

Conclusion

In a shocking yet not-so-shocking move, Paloma brings Vincent back to work as a “consultant” and not everyone is pleased. Things aren’t too great with the Rovels either, but in this battle between the two, could everyone lose?
