In the previous episode of La Maison on Apple TV+, we witnessed a grand and successful fashion show, the first of many by Paloma Castel who has made her mark at LEDU and in the fashion industry. The highlight was watching Perle Foster model the showstopper design, but of course, we haven’t forgotten the drama.

Drama and fashion go hand in hand when it comes to La Maison, and as the series progresses, we expect more of it, it is safe to say that Episode 5 of the series did not disappoint.

Heartbreak All Around

Paloma’s fashion show was an even bigger success than she could have ever imagined, and now, everyone wants a piece of it. It is time for Paloma to soak in the success, but this comes with several photoshoots and being in the limelight more than she had signed up for, but so far, she has been loving it. Is she slowly moving away from her humble beginnings?

Meanwhile, Diane Rovel is struggling to stay alive as her brain tumor has advanced quite a bit, and despite her name, she is unable to get the best care she needs. Also, her birthday is almost here! There’s trouble in paradise for almost all characters in La Maison Episode 5, which shouldn’t come as much of a shocker.

Victor realizes that Diane has been keeping tabs on him, which Caroline is quick to brush off. In addition, Robinson’s boyfriend, who is basically a paid actor by the Rovels wants to quit, but he is bound by an agreement, leaving him conflicted. All relationship arcs in La Maison are constantly suffering, but it adds to the drama, so we aren’t complaining.

Albeit, if we had to pick the most miserable person in this episode, who is spending his time sulking away from the rest, it has to be Vincent Ledu, and our heart goes out to him. To be honest, by this episode, we were expecting him to make a comeback but looks like the wait might be a little bit longer. Between Paloma’s struggles and Perle being rejected by Victor, this episode might be harsher than you would have expected.

Diane’s birthday doesn’t go as planned, not for Victor at least, as he finds himself speeding to Perle not long after. Before this, Paloma finds herself learning the truth about Vincent, from the man himself, and it’s a rather emotional moment that fits in perfectly with the theme of the episode.
