Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2, which is now officially streaming on Netflix, has largely focused on Emily’s relationship with Gabriel, which has been through far too many highs and lows, and currently, it remains on a steady low. In the previous episode, Emily also went on a date with Marcello, Nico’s Italian friend, and Gabriel asked her for some space.

There’s clearly trouble in paradise because no matter how much Emily tries, not everything appears to go her away, but this helps viewers stay hooked on the series. There are still two episodes for us to watch and review when it comes to Season 4, and anything can happen during this time, we’re excited for you to join us on this journey of Episode 9!

Emily takes Over Italy

When nothing goes right for Emily, you can see her running…not away from her problems, just around Paris, getting her steps in, and that’s how Emily in Paris Season 4 Episode 9 begins. Albeit Emily is running alone in the morning, she is also busy texting Marcello, and it’s definitely flirty. Mindy also urges her to go to Italy to meet Marcello and is convinced that Emily is into him.

Again, the trouble in paradise continues when Emily realizes that despite her efforts, Genevieve is moving into her building, and will be living right across from Gabriel. However, from where we see it, Genevieve has a high school crush on Gabriel, and he’s the jock that isn’t interested in her. But of course, that’s not the way Emily sees it.

Camille is back in the picture, aka this episode, and not in a villainous capacity, which is a breath of fresh air. She has a small conversation with Emily, where she also reveals that she will be adopting a baby because that’s what will make her happy. Frankly, this series has done a brilliant job with Camille’s character arc, and we’re grateful for it!

Looks like after Emily in Paris, we’re being treated with Emily in Italy, as she finally decided to go see Marcello, after she realized it was time for her to move on from Gabriel. Marcello is a gentleman, and we’re certain fans are going to love him, maybe not as much as Alfie, but he’s certainly up there. This Roman holiday was exactly what Emily needed, and viewers could also use this little break from Paris!

Plenty is happening in the penultimate episode of the season – Mindy walking away from Nico, Gabriel at Genevieve’s party where she also kisses him, and of course, Emily in Rome. This episode however ends on a cliffhanger when Slyvie shows up in Rome, to talk to Marcello, who also then gets the idea that Emily was using him work for. But there’s plenty more to the story, according to Slyvie.
