Alpha Males on Netflix is one of the funniest Spanish series on the platform, and after two successful seasons, the men are back for Season 3. While they may not be “better than ever” – their struggles with masculinity and identity crises are still very much intact – we’re thrilled to see Pedro, Luis, Raúl, and Santi again.
With its sharp humor and relatable characters, Season 3 had promised to be just as entertaining as its predecessors, and now it’s time to deliver the verdict. Keep reading this review to decide whether or not Alpha Males Season 3 has lived up to the bar that has previously been set!
The Men are Back Again!
Alpha Males Season 3 opens with a quick car race before the four friends are back in the bar discussing masculinity, and more importantly, their contribution to toxic masculinity.
Now, if you’re new to the series, we would highly recommend watching the previous seasons for better context. However, what works in favor of this series is that even without context, it’s funny!
Each of the leading men has issues of their own in their own lives, whether it’s parenting, being a creep, or simply having too many fines. Of course, this only scratches the surface when it comes to Pedro, Luis, Raúl, and Santi, who haven’t appeared to have learned much from the previous seasons. Again, it contributes to the humor but also holds up a mirror to the men in society.
Out of all the men, Pedro appears to be going through a mid-life crisis, with the car and his persistence with Daniela after hating on feminism. Typical Pedro. Again, it helps to be a long-standing fan of Alpha Males to truly enjoy Season 3.
This season does a brilliant job of keeping the comedy intact whilst also making sure it is as character-driven as possible. These four men are the life of the series!
Fernando Gil, Raúl Tejón, Gorka Otxoa, and Fele Martínez deliver stellar performances once again, and the screenplay of the series works perfectly in sync with these talented actors.
There are a few moments where Alpha Males Season 3 might feel a tad bit repetitive, but for the majority of it, the latest installment is fresh, entertaining, and tackles some serious subjects with whimsy.
Alpha Males Season 3 definitely took things up a notch by introducing new curveballs in the lives of these complex characters and it worked perfectly. This season is thoroughly enjoyable, and we certainly hope it isn’t the last!
Conclusion
Alpha Males is a binge-worthy comedy series on Netflix, and Season 3 is no exception. So, if you have a few hours to spare, let this be your next watch on the streaming platform!
