Marvel Television and Disney+ made a wise move by releasing the penultimate episode and season finale of Agatha All Along on the same day, just in time for Halloween. We’re thrilled about the treat, and we’re certain so are the fans. Episode 8 proved to be one of the most intense and action-packed installments yet, but we knew it wasn’t the final chapter.
The “boo!” in the final scene of the penultimate episode was more than enough to scare Billy, and us, as quickly clicked on, excited to find out what’s next. As Agatha All Along comes to an end, we can say with utmost certainty that it surpassed many expectations, and here’s our review of the final episode!
Is Agatha Harkness Really Dead?
Agatha All Along Episode 9 begins in 1750 as we see Agatha panting and running through the woods…pregnant. As Agatha attempts to scream through the pain, she is confronted by death, aka Rio. Agatha begs to be spared but all Rio can offer is time and as the latter disappears into thin air, Agatha gives birth to her soon.

A small part of this episode offers a glimpse into Agatha’s past, something which believe was long overdue considering this series is all about her (almost). Nicholas, whose name has often been spoken is also a part of this episode as we learn more about how Agatha harnessed all this power and all the witches she devoured along the way.
The first half of the season finale focuses entirely on Agatha’s time with Nicholas, the time she had left anyway before Death showed up once again. Only this time, Agatha couldn’t beg again, and Rio walked away with Nicholas, leaving a grief-stricken Agatha until she found another purpose – the Witches’ Road. We witness Agatha destroy several covens over the centuries in hopes of finding the door…until she meets Billy.

Back in the present time, Billy isn’t visited by Agatha, but by Agatha’s ghost instead, whose spirits are up, no pun intended. Billy spirals when he realizes that he made the road, quickly labeling himself a murderer. Finally, Billy decides he wants to banish Agatha because she simply won’t just “die.” As he attempts to do so, Agatha confronts her own fears.
The end of Agatha All Along was a little underwhelming compared to the setup in the previous episode, but hopefully, this can only mean that this isn’t the end of the road, since Agatha offers help – “let’s go find Tommy.” Maybe this was all Billy needed to hear, and this time, he actually believed Agatha.

Conclusion
There were several moments in Agatha All Along Episode 9 that were beautifully crafted, yet it ultimately felt a little incomplete. Nevertheless, we would love to know what you thought about the season finale!
