Last week, Teen’s (played by Joe Locke) true identity was unveiled in Agatha All Along Episode 5, validating several fan theories about him being Billy. With Billy Maximoff now officially part of the coven, the Marvel Television series is poised to take a dramatic turn, and the stakes will be higher than ever.

Agatha All Along Episode 6 is now streaming on Disney+, delving into Billy/Teen’s intriguing backstory and his motivations for exploring the Witches’ Road. As one of the most highly anticipated episodes of the series, it’s sure to captivate fans. Read on for our review of the latest episode, but beware: spoilers ahead!

How Did William Become Billy Maximoff?

Agatha All Along Episode 6 begins with Teen’s backstory, who is addressed as “William” during his bar mitzvah, which takes place after a brief scene in the synagogue. At his bar mitzvah, he finds a little tend for “palm readings” where he is met with Lilia Calderu. At this palm reading, he is visibly nervous and claims he “doesn’t want to know too much.”

“Your lifeline is broken in two,” Lilia tells William, as the lights flicker, and the young man is more nervous than he was. After he leaves the tent, there’s an emergency alert that forces everyone to leave, and Billy and his parents are met with an accident, leaving him injured. His father manages to get a police officer, who happens to be Alice.

Right before this, Billy Maximoff’s soul enters William, and his car accident takes place close to Westview, around the same time as Wanda’s hex. For so long we have applauded Kathryn Hahn’s performance in Agatha All Along, but in Episode 6, all credit goes to Joe Locke for his performance as William…Billy…and Teen.

Billy Maximoff is in William’s body and is clearly confused and overwhelmed, while Wiliam’s parents and doctors believe he has temporary amnesia from the accident. There’s a three-year time jump, where we see Billy/William open up about the car accident and what followed to his boyfriend, and all the research he has since done about the hex.

Lo and behold, this leads Billy to a strange man who tells him all about Wanda and Vision, Billy and Tommy, Westview, and everything Billy needs to know to fill in the blanks and eventually find his way to Agatha.

This strange man is played by none other than Evan Peters, who wasn’t on our list of MCU actors we were expecting to see in this series.

Now, we see the events being played out from Billy’s perspective, from the first time he met Agatha, and she asks his name, twice, and the second time he says, “Billy Maximoff.” After this, we return back to where Episode 5 ended, on the Witches’ Road as Agatha finds her way out of the mud.

“I’m not that nice,” are some of the last words Billy says at the end of Agatha All Along Episode 6 after he and Agatha continue to walk the Witches’ Road for their next trial. Before this, Billy’s intentions are clear, and these intentions don’t involve Wanda or Vision, but Tommy, his brother.
