Severance Season 2 has officially kicked off, and although fans were treated to a single episode instead of the expected two-episode premiere, it was a strong start nonetheless. Adam Scott shines once again as Mark, delivering a standout performance that sets the tone for the season.
The episode picks up just five months after the events of Season 1, a significant contrast to the nearly three-year wait fans endured in the real world. As we dive back into the mysterious world of Lumon with Mark and his coworkers, here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for Severance Season 2 Episode 2!
What Happened in Severance Season 2 Episode 1?
Severance Season 2 Episode 1 picks up seamlessly where Season 1 left off, with Mark’s highly anticipated return to Lumon. The episode begins with a surreal sequence of Mark sprinting through the endless white corridors, finally arriving at his desk.
However, instead of being greeted by his familiar coworkers and friends, he’s met with a new group of faces, and the enigmatic Mr. Milchick, who arrives bearing blue balloons and a host of unsettling surprises for Mark.
Everything is different on the severed floor now that Milchick is in charge and Mark is led to believe that Irwing, Helly, and Dylan chose to not return to Lumon, unlike Mark, who begged to come back.
He is eventually reunited with the gang in the second half of the episode, who all decide to stay back despite being given the chance to leave because they can’t trust Milchick!
What Can You Expect from Severance Season 2 Episode 2?
Irwing, Mark, Helly, and Dylan are reunited and back at their desks at Lumon, but what happens from here on will be explored further in Severance Season 2 Episode 2, in addition to another glimpse at the Outies.
We will see Outie Mark in the next episode as he attempts to figure out the meaning of a message, and meanwhile, the Mark at Lumon must try and find out what’s happened to Ms. Casey.
